You wish to obtain your “mother or master” parts and the original cannot withstand the vulcanization temperature of the mold? We have the ideal mold.
Thanks to new technologies and in particular 3D technology, it is common to use resin or plastic parts as originals. Originals of molding putties are also common.
Many of these resins, plastics and mastics do not withstand the usual vulcanization temperature of 160-180 ºC.
The SILCODISC-MA series of flexible molds is designed to vulcanize these originals without deformation or deterioration.

These molds have a very low vulcanizationtemperature:
SILCODISC-MA90 90ºC.
SILCODISC-MA120 120ºC.
Thanks to extensive testing, both in the laboratory and in industrial applications, our SILCODISC-MA products are characterized by their high mechanical properties, reproducibility and reduced shrinkage.
At the same time, they allow a series of high quality castings to be made for the reproduction of these originals and the preparation of models for production molds. They can also be useful for small production runs both in resins and with tin and lead alloys.
WARNING: These are NOT high heat resistance molds, so the castings in tin and lead alloys will be lower than in a production mold. With zamak alloys the number of castings is very low, but sufficient to make the models.
Technical characteristics of our SILCODISC-MA:
- Extraordinary resistance to tearing.
- Low viscosity before vulcanization (raw), which facilitates handling for mold making and part nailing, minimizing the “rebound” effect.
- High flexibility, which allows the demolding of complicated parts.
- High fidelity reproduction.
- High resistance to chemical attack of casting resins
