In the world of jewelry and costume jewelry, one of the most common applications is the decoration of the piece or jewelry with Swarovski® stones or crystals, both transparent and colored. For this purpose, Coniex, as a result of research in its R&D laboratories, has developed Strass Glue, a high-performance epoxy resin-based glue (adhesive) with extraordinary results.

One of its main characteristics is its low “stiffness”, which allows it to absorb possible shocks due to an accidental fall of the piece, preventing the stone from becoming detached. In addition, it is completely transparent, glossy and has a high resistance to ultraviolet (UV) rays. These properties are very useful especially when working with completely transparent stones: the effect that other adhesives have in yellowing over time due to UV rays, is solved by using our Strass Glue, which will take much longer to be produced.

The method of use of Strass Glue is very simple, as it is a bicomponent product, it must be mixed with a catalyst and simply by following step by step all the technical specifications that we indicate, you will obtain a perfect homogeneous mixture of the two components. Once the stone is applied and set, the polymerization or curing can be done either in 24 hours at room temperature or we recommend accelerating this process in an oven at a temperature of 60º for 1 hour.

A very important factor to highlight is that the epoxy resin base we use does not contain the chemical Bisphenol A, although its use is not prohibited, it is considered a substance harmful to human health and the environment. For more information, you can consult our blog BISPHENOL A. In addition, all our products have a Quality Certificate.

For the correct application of this product, Coniex has the best technological solutions that will allow you to carry out the process with greater speed and precision, significantly improving production costs.
