Industrial ultrasonic washer

Washing and degreasing of parts with ultrasonic washers

Coniex designs and supplies ultrasonic washers for the cleaning of industrial parts. We have industrial ultrasonic washers of various sizes for the washing of different types of parts. The size and configuration of each unit can be customized to fit the needs of each customer.

Ultrasonic washers are highly versatile equipment. At Coniex we can supply small-sized equipment (which can even be portable) for the washing of delicate and small parts, or large-scale equipment that can handle large and complex parts, such as engines or naval parts.

Industrial ultrasonic washers provide a high degree of innovation compared to other alternatives available on the market. This is why these machines offer a series of features and advantages that cannot be obtained with other types of washing machines:

  • No acids or other corrosive cleaning products are used.
  • They allow a complete and homogeneous cleaning of the parts, regardless of their shape.
  • Maximum guarantees that the parts will not suffer any damage or contamination.
  • Lower power consumption than other parts washing equipment.
  • Technology that respects the environment and the health of employees.
  • Reduction of labor costs.
  • Savings in cleaning time.

Regardless of their size, ultrasonic washers tend to operate in much the same way. Although the final objective of all the equipment is to wash and degrease the parts, each model can satisfy different specific needs.

CONIEX ultrasonic cleaning equipment offers complete and fast removal of all dirt and germs as well as other contaminants.

Ultrasonic cleaning

Ultrasonic cleaning is a process to which parts are subjected for the superficial removal of dirt, such as oils, machining emulsions, greases, pastes, polish, oxidation, etc. This cleaning is carried out by a device that cleans the items using ultrasound and water, or an appropriate cleaning solvent.

The parts to be washed and degreased are placed in a tank of water that is agitated with high-frequency sound waves, inaudible to humans.

The cleaning time of the ultrasonic machine and other ultrasonic cleaners varies considerably. The duration of the process depends on the level of soiling and contamination of the parts to be treated. Although many parts can be cleaned in a few seconds, the average time required to ensure proper cleaning varies from 2 to 10 minutes. In addition, to ensure that contaminants are completely removed, the ultrasonic cleaning process may have to be repeated more than once.

This industrial washing method achieves excellent finishes, difficult to obtain with other technologies, and allows a high degree of versatility to meet the specific needs of each application.

Industrial ultrasonic washers are suitable for treating a wide variety of materials, especially metal and plastic.

Operation

The parameters of the cleaning operation are programmed through a touch screen with a simple command system.

After adjusting the cleaning parameters, the detergent or cleaning product is poured in. Next, the program and operating temperature must be selected, which will depend on the depth to which the part is to be immersed.

The last part of this initial process is to place the part on the tray and proceed with its immersion.

Ultrasonic washers are equipped with a timer, so the washing process can be stopped manually, or when the time programmed in the timer reaches its end.

The platform on which the parts are placed is automatically or manually immersed in the hot water, which already contains the detergent, and thanks to the power of ultrasound all the surfaces of the parts are effectively cleaned. The wash cycle is carried out according to the programming previously set on the touch screen.

Once the washing is finished, you can see how all the dirt, foam and residues that have been removed from the part remain floating on the surface. This latent dirt is removed from the equipment thanks to a sprinkling system which, thanks to a recirculation pump, extracts the residues and deposits them in an additional settling tank which also has to be emptied.

Since the part is still inside the equipment, it is advisable to carry out a water circulation process to remove any dirt or impurities that may have been deposited on the part again. A high efficiency filter allows filtration of the liquid to remove small solid elements such as shavings. This same process allows the removal of dirt from the bottom and walls of the washing machine.

Finally, the equipment is opened and the part is removed. To do this, just lift the submerged tray and we can have the piece completely free of dirt and impurities with an excellent finish.
