Industrial parts washers

Cleaning and degreasing of metal surfaces

Coniex has several models of industrial washing machines for the cleaning and degreasing of metal parts from stamping, machining, drilling, or any other process that requires lubrication. Our washing machines and washing equipment (manual, semi-automatic or fully automated) are a guarantee to solve the washing and degreasing of parts at the lowest cost.

INDUSTRIAL WASHING MACHINES FOR PARTS WASHING AND DEGREASING

The washing and degreasing process of metal parts and surfaces is essential to ensure business productivity, since any impurity or contamination present on the parts can jeopardize the final result of the production process being carried out.

Removing all grease residues involves the destruction of each oil molecule, which can be translated into the elimination of light oil accumulations, or the cleaning of grease accumulations that are deposited on the various components.

It is common for parts washing and degreasing to be carried out prior to other surface treatment processes such as pickling, passivation and polishing, as it provides a uniformly prepared surface for these subsequent treatments. As mentioned above, incorrect or insufficient degreasing could potentially create corrosion problems in any of these downstream processes.

The type of degreasing and washing to be carried out varies according to numerous factors, which will condition the choice of technologies and processes to be used. To achieve the desired result, it is necessary to know the basic elements involved in the fat removal process.

  • Type of metal: the materials of the parts can be iron (steels with different carbon content), stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and its alloys, copper and its alloys (brass, bronze, nickel silver, etc.), zinc and its alloys and others. Slightly alkaline solvents are used for aluminum and non-ferrous metals, while stronger alkaline solutions are required for steel and stainless steel.
  • Type of grease or oil to be removed: the removal of grease, lubricants and anti-corrosive oils may involve the use of different types of solvents and the use of specific machines. To cite a few examples, we can find light or heavy, synthetic or natural, refined or crude oils.
  • Degree of contamination: in addition to oil and grease, there may also be chips or other types of impurities and residues on the workpiece that need to be removed.

The analysis of these factors will help us to determine which type of parts washer is most suitable in each case. To maximize the effectiveness of the washing and degreasing process, the best washing machine must be chosen, and the most effective degreasing solvent must be used.

Whatever the type of industrial washing machine chosen, we offer a comprehensive service that combines the installation of the machinery, the supply of solvents, maintenance and spare parts, waste management and compliance with legal documentation.
